Classic Television: The Andy Griffith Show
One of the most popular television shows when it ran was The Andy Griffith Show and it seems just as popular today as well. The show was about Sheriff Andy Taylor played by Andy Griffith and his bumbling Deputy Barney Fife played by Don Knotts. Andy Taylor’s son was named Opie and was played by Ron Howard and the show took place in a small town called Mayberry.
The Andy Griffith Show had a cast of characters and through the year they constantly added new characters. You will see people like Barbara Eden, Bill Bixby and others make cameo appearances. It is a very good series that still is as good as it was many years ago. You will find yourself going back in time and enjoying The Andy Griffith Show.
