Iceland has one of the highest per capita income of almost any country, but the financial crisis has even hit this country. The economy has really taken a pounding and many businesses are closing as the economy suffers problems in this country.

This country has a population of around 320,000 people and the government has been forced to make sweeping changes so the country does not totally collapse. Many of the banks in this country have ties with Europe and some very high profile clients so failure here would bea massive blow to many other countries as well.
