Getting traffic to your blog is always something that you have to work on. I have complied some tips that have worked for me hopefully you will find something of use to your blog.
Everyday people start blogs without really understanding that unless they get traffic to it death will come upon it quickly. There are several ways that you can bring traffic to your blog and make it popular.
One of the more popular ways these days is through social network sites. Most of these sites will let you put up links and some even have places you can post your blog url. Join as many as you can and make sure that your blog url is on your homepage or at least your profile.
Many people overlook this one and it is another real easy one and that is post comments on other blogs. Many blogs will let you include a url with your post and this is a quick way to get traffic.
4Forums are another way to get fast traffic to your blog. Most forums will let you put up a signature file under your name which should lead back to your blog. Forums are great traffic generation. The key is go to forums that your blog is about.
My favorite way to get added traffic is social bookmarking sites such as facebook, digg, twitter and many others. These get visited a lot and a link on these sites can bring you a lot of added traffic.
One last tip is post often. People who do visit your blog will come back more often if you have new content all the time.
